How to enable "debugging mode" on Android phone?
For Motorola Android phone:
1. On your Android phone, connect the phone to PC through USB cable
2. Pull down the Android notification bar(tap the very top screens and swipe down)
3. Select "Charge only" or "None" or Media device (MTP) or Camera (PTP), then click "OK".
4. Click "Settings"---"Applications"---"Development", make sure "USB debugging" is checked (on an Android 4.0 device, the setting is located in Settings > Developer options).
For HTC Android phone:
1. On your Android phone, connect the phone to PC through USB cable
2. Pull down the Android notification bar(tap the very top screens and swipe down)
3. Select "HTC Sync" or "Charge Only", then click "OK".
4. Click "Settings"---"Applications"---"Development", make sure "USB debugging" is checked (on an Android 4.0 device, the setting is located in Settings > Developer options).
For Samsung Android phone:

Can I use WiFi connection besides USB connection between the Android phone and the PC?
Download and install Mobisynapse on the PC from: www.mobisynapse.com
Upon successful installation of Mobisynapse on the PC, open Mobisynapse, it will scan for USB and WiFi connection automatically. By default, if there is a usb connection, the usb connection is preferred. If the user prefers to use wifi connection, please do not connect the Android device to PC with usb cable. Upon initial wifi connection scan, it will locate your Android phone and list it in the pop up connection screen. Please click on the Android phone located on the connection screen, it will connect the Android phone and the PC.
Mobisynapse also offers "security code" for connection privacy protection. Here is how it works:
- Click "Logo" on top right corner of Mobisynpase program window, click "Preferences", click "Others". Check the checkbox of "Security Code" to enable it, then set a security code in the "Security Code" input field, then save it.
- On your Android device, click "Settings", click "Wifi network", please make sure wifi network is turned on. if Wifi is turned on, the Android device will locate available wifi network, please make sure your local wifi network is connected.
- On your Android device, open mOffice app, click "Menu"--->"Connection", click "Security Code For WiFi", then type in the security code set in step 1 mentioned above, then save it. After the first time, the security code will be saved automatically. The user doesn't have to type in every single time afterward. Mobisynapse will use security code to locate the correct Android device from the PC.
Connect the PC and Android phone with USB cable, can't see my Android phone, what to do?
On the PC:
- Unplug usb cable and re-plugin it again
- Restart Mobisynapse and see if the ADB driver is installed properly
- Please check to see if ADB driver is installed properly on your PC. There is another FAQ entry on that topic. if the ADB driver isn't installed properly, it will prompt the user with an error message upon restarting Mobisynapse generally.
On the Android phone:
- Power off and power on again the Android phone. Then launch "mOffice" app on your Android phone.
Does Mobisynapse offer any password code protection when connecting the Android phone to the PC with WiFi?
Here is how to set the security code:
Click "Logo" on top right corner of Mobisynpase program window, click on "Preferences", click "Others", please check the checkbox of "Security code". In the "Security Code" input field, please set it, then save it.
On your Android phone, open mOffice app, click "Menu"--->"Connection", click "Security code For WiFi". Please type in the security code you set in Mobisynapse on the PC to pair the the PC and the Android phone. The security code will be saved for later use after the first time pairing. You don't need to type the security code after the first time pairing for the Android phone and the PC.

Answer :
- After Mobisynapse desktop software is installed successfully, when the first time the user connects the PC and Android device through usb cable, Mobisynapse will try to detect the Android device model and install possible ADB driver for the specific Android device. There might be a possible issue that there isn't any ADB driver available for specific Android device model. Please try to check the ADB driver entry on our FAQ, and submit an ADB driver request on our online forum for further help.

Question 2: Connected usb cable before, it was working. Now it doesn't recognize the usb connection after clicking "refresh" button on "Device" screen

- Please try to unplug the usb cable and re-plug it again to see if that solves the issue.
- If still issue, please restart your Android phone.
- Then on "Device" screen in Mobisynapse on the PC, click "Refresh" button to refresh it to see if the usb connection is established properly
How to manually connect the PC and Android device through Wifi connection?
- Click "Settings" on the Android device, click "Wireless network", please make sure "Wi-FI" is turned on. if the WiFi is turned on, the wireless network connected is display under "WiFi". Please make sure that is your local wireless network. If not, please click "Wi-Fi", click "Add a Wifi network" to add your local wireless network.
- Open mOffice app, click "Menu"--->"Connection", it will display the ip address of the Android device upon "Security Code For WiFi" button.
- On the PC, open Mobisynapse, it will try to scan the available wifi connection, if there is no available one, it will redirect the user to "Device" screen. On the "Device" screen, click "+" sign, it will prompt to the user to type in the ip address of Android device. Please type in the ip address of Android device from step 2, then click "OK".
- Click "Refresh" button to see if Wifi connection is established.

How to sync apps between PC and Android device?
Click "App" icon on the navigation menu, click "Sync" button. It provides the following "Sync Options":
- Two-way sync. Sync the apps between the PC and Android device with a two-way merge sync

You can set a security code in Mobisynapse desktop manager for privacy protection. If you do, on your Android device, open mOffice app, click "Menu"--->"Connection", click "Security code for WiFi", please enter the same security code you set in Mobisynapse desktop manager , and save it.
5. If the USB or WiFi connection is working properly, click "Sync" icon in Mobisynapse navigation menu, you can set the sync settings to sync : tasks, calendars, notes, contacts, and reminders. Then click "Sync" to sync between Outlook and Android device.
After the synching, there are some duplicated data, how to fix it?
